Looking for work in Norway? Let's talk about one of the most important—and sometimes most difficult—parts of the process: building connections.
You have the knowledge. You have the motivation. You have the ideas. You don’t have the people to help you bring them to life.
Relationships, trust, and reputation are super important to career growth. But how?
As part of the nationwide initiative Norway Welcome Week, we invite everyone to join us in unpacking this topic.
The idea is simple: everyone has something to contribute. Come with your own experiences and questions, meet others navigating working life in Norway, and leave with a roadmap of how to start.
We'll share our best tips for building connections and work together to create a “connection bank” of useful communities, events, networks, and opportunities. Everyone who attends will receive a copy of our ‘great places to start building connections’ list afterwards.
✅Open to: absolutely everyone. Please bring a friend!
✅You can expect:
short introduction on relationship-building and trust
facilitated networking exercise
coffee, tea and baked goods
a relaxed, welcoming environment
✅Guest speaker: Evelien Gebuis from Invest in Rogaland. Evelien is originally from The Netherlands, and worked with communications in Stavanger for 10+ years before stepping into her current role with Invest in Rogaland. Invest in Rogaland’s mission is to attract people and investments to Rogaland - if that doesn’t say ‘networking’ I don’t know what does. We look forward to hearing about Evelien’s journey in Norway’s workforce and tips on building relationships and professional networks.
Practicalities:
