Meet a Diverse Range of Talents

Who are our members? And why should you, of all people, meet them?

The members of the Norwegian Association for the Integration of Foreign Workers ( Sammen om en jobb ) are job seekers: candidates with high levels of formal qualifications, motivation, and a desire to work in Norway. Below are some statistics that show who our members are. You will also find our views on what it will take to make effective and inclusive use of the skilled people who already live in our country.

As a partner with us, you’ll have the opportunity to meet unemployed, motivated people. Maybe YOU’RE the one who will help us build a more inclusive workplace and win “the war on talent”?

The Forgotten Gold

In Denmark, the hashtag #theforgottengold is used to highlight the paradox that many highly educated and highly skilled people living in the country are unable to find em relevant job. We see the same thing in Norway. We need people who can work and contribute to the welfare state in the future, but at the same time, we have many who are ready to work but cannot find jobs.

You'll find some of them here—and we're confident there's some real gold in our network!

Did you know that we have 69 different nationalities registered with us? And that technologists, IT professionals, and engineers—who rank high on every list of “skills Norway needs”—are among the largest professional groups in our database?

Take a look. Maybe your next employee is right here with us?

“335 candidates—oh my gosh, that’s a lot!” you might be thinking?

Please contact us.

We know the people in our network. Our database is also integrated into a CRM system that lets us filter by factors such as professional background, language, and location. It’s easy to find the gems that are relevant to you specifically.

The People Behind the Numbers

During Oslo Innovation Week in October 2025, the Norwegian Association of Business Schools ( Sammen om en jobb ) organized a panel discussion to explore how we can become better at hiring qualified candidates who already live in Norway and are available to work. We invited our members—the people behind the numbers—to share their experiences and perspectives. They spoke about:

  • Lack of a network: “What I was doing in my home country doesn’t exist here, and it’s really hard to meet people and build relationships!”

  • Formal requirements and language: “It’s challenging to get your education recognized, and even if you learn the language, people say they don’t understand your accent.”

  • Cultural context: “If you don’t understand the culture, you won’t understand how meetings are conducted, how decisions are made, what leadership entails, or how to navigate the job search process.”

But what they miss most of all are businesses that open their doors and welcome them in—just to chat about nothing in particular.

It could be you.
