Become a mentor!
As a mentor, you’ll support an individual job seeker on their path to a relevant job. You’ll meet 1–4 times a month for six months. Aside from experience in the Norwegian workforce, no prior knowledge is required—just a commitment. We’ll take care of the rest.
Three Reasons to Become a Mentor
There are many reasons to become a mentor. Here are three of them:
Make a significant difference for both individuals and society
Enhance your diversity skills by getting to know another person and a new culture
Become a better mentor, colleague, and leader by participating in Norway's largest mentoring program
Get your company involved!
Are you from a company that values diversity and competitiveness? Then let’s work together! Together, we can enhance our employees’ skills, put the company’s sustainability strategy into practice, and address an important social issue.
Help us reach 1,000 job seekers!
We’ve set an ambitious goal for 2026: to connect 1,000 job seekers who are new to Norway with relevant mentors. To make this happen, we need your help! Do you know anyone who might be interested in becoming a mentor? Put them in touch with us, or let us know, and we’ll contact them.
The Connection Process
The process of getting connected can be divided into three steps:
Sign up: The registration form takes 5–10 minutes to complete. You’ll then receive a response and gain access to our digital community within a couple of days.
Matching Suggestions: We'll try to find a suitable job seeker for you. You can also try to find a job seeker on your own using our self-matching feature.
Matching Meeting: If both you and the job seeker are interested, you will meet for an initial meeting. If both parties are satisfied after the meeting, the mentoring program will begin.
Meet some former mentors
We'll take care of everything!
Our goal is for you to spend as much time as possible in meetings with your job candidate and as little time as possible on preparation and follow-up. That’s why you’ll have access to a customized digital mentoring platform that takes you from start to finish. The platform includes, among other things:
Ready-made meeting agendas for 24 different topics, complete with tools and exercises
A dedicated online course for those who want to learn more about diversity and mentoring
Monthly mentor meetings for professional development and the exchange of experiences
Take it all or leave it all—the choice is yours!
Benefits of Being a Mentor
As part of one of Norway’s largest mentoring programs, you’ll enjoy a number of benefits. In addition to a range of tools, exciting online courses, and monthly events where you can meet other mentors, you’ll have access to additional benefits from our partners.
Diversity in Practice
Research from Harvard highlights mentoring programs as one of the most important measures for increasing diversity. Why? Because it complements theory with real-life interactions. It moves us from words to action.

The amount of time mentors spend on the program varies greatly, and this is something we take into account when evaluating job applicants.
We expect you to meet with your job seeker at least once a month, but many meet as often as once a week. There’s no right or wrong way to do this, and we’ll ask about your preferences when you sign up.

The gobling process itself can be completed in just a few days, or it can take a few weeks or even months.
How quickly this happens depends mostly on which job seekers we have available and how well their backgrounds match yours.
You can try to speed up the matching process by searching for a match yourself using our self-matching feature.

It's perfectly normal to get questions that you can't—or don't have the capacity to—help with.
On the digital platform, job seekers can get help with most of what they need, so you, as a mentor, won't have to be a walking encyclopedia.
We also make this clear in our discussion of expectations with job applicants.

Yes, there's nothing stopping you from mentoring more than one person at a time. The only feature you won't have access to once you're already matched is the self-matching feature, but just let us know and we can find another job seeker for you.
