We connect resources
A great deal of valuable expertise is lost because immigrants are unable to enter the workforce. This comes at a high cost to society, the individual, and the business community. The knowledge and network of someone with experience in the Norwegian workforce can be the key. We connect immigrants with mentors who share their educational background through a cross-cultural mentoring program. In this way, we foster valuable relationships and help create a more forward-looking workforce.

The SR-Bank Savings Bank Foundation awards grants “for charitable purposes in Southwestern Norway,” and in 2026, Sammen om en jobb received funding to help us develop our digital platform into a strong and reliable bridge between highly skilled immigrants and the Norwegian workforce.

IMDi has provided support Sammen om en jobb since 2025. This collaboration has resulted in more than 40 job seekers with higher education from across the country being paired with personal mentors and guided on their path toward a relevant job.
Accenture has been working with Sammen om en jobb since 2018 and has been our key partner in developing our digital platform.

The Welfare Agency of the City of Oslo has supported Sammen om en jobb since 2018. Overall, this collaboration has resulted in us connecting over 400 job seekers with relevant mentors—
Worley Rosenberg has been partnering with Sammen om en jobb since 2024 and is currently running its second mentoring program. Together, we have provided diversity training to more than 30 employees by having them serve as mentors, while also helping more than 30 job seekers get closer to a relevant job.

My mentor was like a guide to me. Better than any of the mentors I've had before. They hadn't studied engineering and didn't know much about it.
Being able to share my experience and serve as a bridge between people fills me with humility and gratitude.
The best part was learning about the opportunities and jobs that are available. Together with my mentor, we reached out to various workplaces and visited the company to learn more.
When you're unemployed, you spend a lot of time alone and don't always feel like you're part of society. When you're in the program, you have something to do and something to look forward to. It makes you feel good.
The goal is a good one. The program is challenging, both practically and intellectually. Cultural exchanges are rewarding and educational.
It's rewarding to be able to be of help and support others who may be going through a challenging phase in their lives. I find this meaningful, and I look forward to every session!

To achieve our vision that everyone who comes to Norway should be able to use their skills in a relevant job , we run several projects across much of the country. Read more about each project below.
In 2023, we’re launching a mentoring program to connect 20–30 mentees with vocational certificates or higher education to local mentors in Agder. Would you like to participate—as a mentee, mentor, or partner?
