Are you new to Norway, have a college degree, and are looking for a relevant job? Then you’ve come to the right place! Sammen om en jobb is a nonprofit organization that helps newcomers to Norway put their skills to use in a relevant job. We do this by:

Join one of Norway’s largest multicultural professional communities, with over 500 highly qualified job seekers, mentors, companies, and recruiters. Here, you can build your network, get tips on your job search, and improve your job-search skills.
Get a personal mentor
We’ll try to connect you with a personal mentor in your field.* You’ll meet 1–4 times a month for six months, with the goal of supporting you on your path to a relevant job.
*We have more job seekers than mentors, and we cannot guarantee a mentor for everyone.

There are a great many options out there, and not all of them are tailored to those with a higher education. On our customized digital platform, we’ve brought everything together in one place. Here, you’ll also have access to a range of offerings from our partners.
Events
Every week, we offer new courses, activities, or networking events tailored to those seeking a " relevant job " in Norway. The courses are in Norwegian or English and are held online or in person in Oslo or Stavanger. Welcome!
Become a member!
Thanks to our wonderful partners, all of our activities are free, with the exception of a nominal membership fee of 50 kr per month. All proceeds are used to improve our programs.
By paying the membership fee, you become a full member of Sammen om en jobb, which means you can attend the annual meeting and have the right to vote. The annual meeting is held in June each year.

Complete all the topics in order as a comprehensive online course, or choose the ones that are most relevant to you.

With several major partner companies and hundreds of volunteer mentors and other job seekers, we are one of Norway’s largest job-search communities. This makes the program an excellent place to build networks, share tips and experiences, boost your motivation, and maybe even make new friends!

Criteria for Being Assigned a Mentor
You yourself have come to Norway from another country
Higher education (minimum bachelor's degree)
Looking for a " relevant job " in Norway
Norwegian at least at level B1 or English at least at level B2.
A residence permit in Norway valid for at least 9 months from now
Note: Even if you meet these criteria, you are not guaranteed a mentor.
Membership costs 50 kr per month. This amount is deducted automatically. You can cancel your membership at any time.
If you are unable to pay for membership, you can send us an email at kontakt@sammenomenjobb.no.
Once you have paid, you will receive several emails from us shortly thereafter. Among these, you will find two that require action:
An email containing a registration form that you must fill out.
An email confirming your email account.
Once you have submitted the application form, you will receive another email with a link to create a username and password for our digital platform. This email may take up to 24 hours to arrive.
Please note that the link is only valid for 24 hours. If you are unable to use it before the deadline, please contact us, and we will send you a new link.
