A pilot project on social sustainability, recruitment, and making the most of the people we have
Rogaland—the country's finest county?
Those of us who live in Rogaland know that there should be a period, not a question mark, at the end of that sentence. The region with its long, white beaches, deep fjords, snow-capped peaks, small and large towns, a dynamic and forward-looking business community, and—last but not least—four seasons in a single day? Of course it’s the finest in the country!
We know that. But not everyone knows it.
Sammen om en jobb is a membership organization for highly educated immigrants seeking relevant job in Norway. As of today, we have about 400 members, all of whom hold at least a bachelor’s degree. The vast majority live in and around the country’s major cities: Oslo, Stavanger, Bergen, and Trondheim. Many would certainly consider moving to Rogaland for a relevant job. But first, they need to know that relevant jobs are available in Rogaland—and not just in the Stavanger region, but throughout ALL of Rogaland.
This is where you come in.
Are you a recruiter, hiring manager, business development specialist, economic development specialist, public sector representative, or similar?
Do you live and work in Rogaland outside the Stavanger region?
Then you know that your region needs to attract skilled people, both now and in the future.

In fact, you’re welcome to visit us at Sammen om en jobb to talk about your region, your company, your staffing needs, job openings, or what it’s like to live and work where you do.
You can participate as a guest in the digital networking events we hold once a month. There, you’ll not only have the opportunity to present information, but also meet unemployed candidates who are a good fit for your region or business. These networking events typically attract 100+ candidates.
You can share information on our digital member platform.
If you are recruiting, you can also obtain a user license to search for candidates in our database. It’s completely free, thanks to funding from Rogaland County Council’s initiative for sustainable regional transition.
Of course, I'll help you with access and coordination. We want to share all the positive information you have about your region with our members.
This is social sustainability in action. Sharing information, making connections. Together, we can help mobilize the workforce. Together, we can let more people know that Rogaland is the country’s finest region. And perhaps some of the skilled job seekers in our network will move to Rogaland to work, live, and contribute.
