Join a Job Network – or start your own!

A job network is a group of 5-9 professionals who go through an 8-module program helping each other advance their careers in Norway. The program is based on peer-support, where you help and get help from other professionals within your field or from your region. Join an existing job network or start your own!

Why join the job network program?

Program and modules

Below is an overview of the eight modules of the program, along with what you can expect to gain from each one:

  1. Getting to Know Each Other: Start by meeting the group, sharing your career goals, and discovering how you can support each other. This first session builds trust and helps you feel at home from day one.

  2. Job Search Planning: Learn how to structure your job search with a clear, realistic action plan. You’ll leave with a roadmap that makes the process more organized and less overwhelming.

  3. Understanding the Labour Market: Explore relevant companies, events, and professional communities in your field. You’ll create your own opportunities list and identify where your skills are needed.

  4. LinkedIn Mastery: Strengthen your LinkedIn profile and learn how to use the platform strategically for networking and job searching. You’ll gain practical habits that increase your visibility to employers.

  5. Networking Skills: Build and activate your network together with the group. You’ll practice introductions, explore new connections, and learn how networking can open doors to hidden opportunities.

  6. Norwegian Work Culture: Get a clear understanding of the expectations in Norwegian workplaces—and how your background can be an advantage. You’ll develop confidence in communicating and collaborating across cultures.

  7. Motivation and Wellbeing in the Job Search: Learn tools and routines to stay motivated, focused, and mentally healthy during the job search. This session helps you build habits that support both progress and wellbeing.

  8. The Road Ahead: Decide how you want to continue after the program—whether by meeting as a group, forming a job network, or creating an Impact Group. You leave with momentum and a community that continues to support you.


Criteria for joining

To join or start a job network you must:

  • Have time for eight 2-3 hour meetings with your network

  • Commit to 3-4 hours of preparations and follow up for each meeting

  • Contribute actively to the network by sharing tips and experiences

  • Be a member of Sammen om en jobb for the duration of the program


How to join a job network?

New job networks are primarily formed at the beginning of each semester. By signing up below we’ll try to match you to a relevant network of other professionals. Note that we cannot guarantee that we’ll be able to find a network for everyone, as this depends on whether there are other people sharing your background or location. If there are no job networks that fits your background or location, or if you want to contribute extra to the community, you can also start your own!


How to start a job network?

Starting your own job network is easy and rewarding. We provide everything you need to guide the group through the program, so that being a facilitator should be much more work than simply being a participant. As a network starter, you get all the tools you need to facilitate the whole program from A-Z.
