Sammen om en jobb is one of Norway’s largest networks for highly educated immigrants, with several hundred professionals, 100+ mentors and several companies, municipalities and recruiters. Here is how you navigate the network.
🔎 How to Search the Network
Go to the “Network” tab.
At the top left, choose whether you want to browse job seekers or mentors.
You’ll see a list of participants in that group.
To narrow down your search, click the filter icon in the top right. You’ll find around eight filter options.
Tip: If your search gives few or no results, try using fewer filters.
Click on a person’s name to view their profile and learn more about them.
To make yourself easier to find, keep your own profile up to date. You can update your information by clicking your name in the top right corner → “My Profile” → “Edit”.
👋 Connecting with Others
If you come across someone you’d like to get to know, feel free to send them a message:
Click your name in the top right corner.
Go to “Messages” → “New” to start a conversation.
Not everyone in the network is equally active, so if you don’t get a response, that’s completely normal—try reaching out to someone else!
🫥 How to Hide Your Profile
If you prefer not to be visible in the network:
Go to your profile settings.
Under “Preferred contact”, select “Do not wish to be contacted”.
Please note: Your profile may still be visible in other parts of the community, such as events you’ve signed up for or group posts you’ve interacted with.
